Dr. Christopher Tiu

Dr. Christopher Tiu, M.D.

Dr. Christopher Tiu is a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and Wheeling Jesuit University.  He graduated from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 1996, and then went on to complete his otolaryngology residency at the University of Connecticut.  He has been Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology since 2004 and achieved recertification in 2012.

 

Dr. Tiu has been serving the Ohio Valley since 2003, providing general Otolaryngology care for all ages.  He has privileges at Wheeling Hospital.

 

Dr. Tiu has been active in the medical community, and has served as President of the Ohio County Medical Society.  In 2005, he traveled to the Philippines for a medical mission along with his father, Dr. Wilfredo Tiu.  This opportunity to perform surgery with his father has been one of the highlights of his medical career.

Dr. Chris Tiu is a recognized Physician whose dedication to patient-centered care and medical innovation earned him the Inspire Physician of Excellence award in June 2024—an honor granted to only 250 healthcare professionals worldwide. With a special passion for helping patients with sleep apnea, Dr. Tiu is known for his empathetic approach and personalized solutions. Recognizing that not all patients can tolerate CPAP therapy, he advocates for alternative treatments tailored to individual needs, ensuring no one is left without options. His commitment to excellence, education, and compassionate care continues to make a profound impact on the lives of patients and the medical community alike.

 

Dr. Tiu resides in Wheeling with his wife and four children.

Dr. Jeremy J. Tiu

Dr. Jeremy J. Tiu, M.D.

Dr. Jeremy Tiu was born and raised in Wheeling.  He is a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and The University of Dayton.  He is a graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine with honors.  He completed residency at the West Virginia School of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology.

 

Dr. Tiu specializes in general otolaryngology and head and neck surgery for both adults and children. His general practice includes procedures such as: tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, ear tubes, nasal surgery, sinus surgery, laryngeal surgery, parotidectomy, thyroidectomy, neck mass and lymph node surgery, oral and skin lesion biopsy and removal.

 

Dr. Tiu opened his private practice in Wheeling in 2007. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Otolaryngology. He received his fellowship in allergy from the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy in 2021. Dr. Jeremy has been a member of the Medical Executive Committee at WVU - Wheeling Hospital and has privileges at Wheeling Hospital.

 

Dr. Jeremy Tiu and his wife are happy to be raising their two sons in their hometown.

Hilary Hiller

Hilary Miller, PA-C

Hilary Miller is an 2009 graduate of a John Marshall High School. She graduated with honors from West Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 2013 and a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies in 2015. She has been board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed under the West Virginia Board of Medicine since 2015. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, and Society of Physician Assistants in Otorhinolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery. 

 

Miller has been a proud physician assistant with over 10 years of clinical experience. She built her foundation with a background specializing in emergency medicine, and has pursued her passion specializing in ear, nose, throat, and allergy for over seven years. She takes pride in thorough examinations/physical assessments and educating her patient’s on their diagnoses in a welcoming environment. She diagnoses and treats a wide variety of ENT/Allergy issues and treats patients of all ages. 

 

She resides in Glen Dale with her husband and two daughters.

 

Fun fact: Her favorite procedure is removing ear wax and she named her child after an otoscope. 

Lacy Howard

Lacy Howard, NP-C

Lacy Howard is a graduate of Cameron High School in her hometown of Cameron, West Virginia.  She is a graduate of West Liberty University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.  She worked as a critical care nurse in Wheeling for several years before completing her Master of Science degree in nursing at Wheeling Jesuit University in 2013.  Lacy has been board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and practiced pulmonary medicine for 5 years.

In 2023, Lacy received the "Optimizing Outcomes" portion of the Inspire Care Pathway Certification to treat obstructive sleep apnea.  She is one of a few practitioners in the world to have mastered the skills necessary to manage the Inspire Implant.

Lacy Howard is a nationally recognized Nurse Practitioner and a true standout in the field of medicine—often described by peers and patients alike as a “unicorn” for her rare blend of clinical expertise, compassion, and dedication. She began her journey with Dr. Chris Tiu in 2020, bringing with her over a decade of invaluable experience working alongside a respected local pulmonologist and sleep physician.


Lacy’s deep passion for sleep medicine, particularly her commitment to patients struggling with obstructive sleep apnea, has made her a transformative force in the lives of many. She recognizes that one-size-fits-all approaches don’t work—especially with CPAP intolerance—and she consistently goes above and beyond to tailor care that truly fits the patient.


In December 2024, Lacy was honored with the prestigious Provider of Excellence award by Inspire, distinguishing her as one of the top Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in the world. This award reflects not only her clinical excellence, but also her relentless advocacy for patient-centered care and her role in shaping the future of sleep medicine.

Lacy is committed to continuing to meet the needs of patients within the Ohio Valley with focus on the specialty of Otolaryngology.  Lacy and her husband reside in Moundsville with their daughter and son.

Dr. Wilfredo A. Tiu

Dr. Wilfredo A. Tiu, M.D. ~ Oct. 10, 1936 - Dec. 5, 2022

Dr. Wilfredo Tiu grew up in Cebu, Phillippines.  He graduated medical school from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines.  Dr. Tiu moved to the United States in 1962 to complete his otolaryngology residency at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.  Dr. Tiu met his wife, a pediatric nurse, at Mercy Hospital.  

 

Dr. Tiu was recruited to come to the Wheeling Clinic in 1967 to practice general otolaryngology and head and neck surgery.  It was at this time he became a partner of the Wheeling Clinic.  Dr. Tiu became board certified in 1968 with the American Board of Otolaryngology.  For several years, Dr. Wilfredo was the only ENT in the Wheeling area.  For the majority of his practice, Dr. Tiu provided general ENT for adults and children, head and neck cancer surgery and trauma care.  In 1998, Dr. Tiu changed his practice to clinic based only.  He opened his solo private practice in 2007.  

 

In June of 2018, after 51 years of practicing Ear, Nose and Throat in the Ohio Valley, Dr. Wilfredo Tiu decided to take a well-earned retirement.   He and his wife, Martha, have 5 children and 13 grandchildren.  

 

Sadly, Dr. Tiu passed away with his wife by his side on Dec. 5th, 2022.  He will always be remembered for the skilled and compassionate care provided to his patients. Rest in peace, Papa.
